I've been searching the net but cant find any reviews (or even installed pics) of the XSPC Raystorm GPU water block.

Does anyone here have one?

Think I might take a bit of a chance and order one for my GTX670 Phantom.

Could someone tell me where I need heat sinks?

Looking at the stock cooler it looks like it only cools the processor.

Well, i just fitted 2 accelero coolers on my cards. The only place i fitted heatsinks were on the memory modules. but they get actively cooled by the fans pushing air through the fins towards the sinks. Not sure how that would work for you. Looking at the heatsink of the cooler it seems there isnt much in the way of thermal pads or anything. Could be worth a shot as long as the block would interfere with the sinks on memory modules.

How come you dont want a full cover block? are they available? Not really up on Nvidia stuff.

VRM's are already cooled by that heatsink so you only need heatsinks for the ram. I generally use the Zalman ones with Akasa's excellent thermal tape. Even on my GTX 480 the ram barely got warm with the Zalman heatsinks.

Thanks for the replies. Just so I've got this definitely right I just need to add heat sinks to the 8 chips to the top, right and bottom of the processor and leave the large heat sink as is?

And I don't need to add anything to the 4 chips marked R25 or the 2 little ones below them?

As above, there any reason you don't want a full cover block? They are released on the 27th of this month.

I don't like the EK ones, especially the way you have to add the link connect then an elbow to get the tubing the right direction - probably fine if using multiple cards and a bridge but don't like the look of it on its own. Would like an XSPC block like the new 690 one but XSPC say they aren't making one for the 670.

Plus I think the Raystorm might look quite good on the small 670 PCB, guess I'll find out soon as I've now ordered it ;)

New block turned up and now fitted:

Really pleased with how it looks, still leak testing so no idea on temps yet.

Can some1 clarify - is the LED supplied only blue? How come wissel has the red light then? have you upgraded it yourself?
