Does anybody know why the XSPC RX240 rads are so hard to get hold of? I check OcUK everyday and they haven't had stock for ages. I think they had 1 in last week but that quickly went.

Can anybody recommend an equivalent alternative?

Take a look at the Coolgate rads. Coolgate are the performance arm of Magicool and they produce excellent performing rads at a very good price. They come with a selection of screws and also rubber gaskets for the fans. I have a CG360 and a 360mm G2 and they really are excellent. The G2 is not 10fpi as the descriptions states but more like 13-14fpi while the CG series is 7-8fpi. The CG is actually better than Thermochills PA series with fan's of 1000rpm and under. The CG and G2 240's are on offer this week as well making them a even better buy.

Thanks, I'll have a look at those. Haven't done the measurements yet but there is a chance I will need to go with a slim type rad :(

In that case the RX wouldn't have fitted anyway as that's only 4mm thinner than the CG240. Need to come back to this when you find out the space you have to play with.

Yeah I was going to check first anyway, but the RX was still my first choice. Seeing the extra 4mm reminded me of the fact :p

The Coolgate rads look good though, I think I would get the CG with the lower FPI for slower speed fans. These are going in a Parvum Systems s2.0 case, while I have seen thicker rads in these I don't know the actual measurements yet (haven't ordered the case yet.)

Are you on commission Pasty?! :D
I'll be going for coolgate rads for my next build. I had an RX 240 which I really rate highly but like you say they're difficult to get hold of!

I wish. :D:D:D

I just really rate them. Build quality, performance, price and accessories make it hard to justify spending more.

I have emailed Parvum to find dimensions so soon we will know :D

Looking in the project logs on this forum it looks like 38mm is the absolute max thickness you can have and with the fans attatched that's pretty tight to the top edge of the mobo. Most people seem to use 30-35mm rads. As OCUK are out of stock of most of their 120.2 rads that only leves the XSPX EX240 at 35.5mm thick.

Got a reply from Parvum. You are correct with the top rad:
  • Top: 30-40mm
  • Front: 30-65mm
Wonder why OcUK are sold out of pretty much all dual rads at the moment?

Thanks for your help
