XSX controller on PC?

Do I just need to buy a dongle? Would it work with a USB C cable?

With my new gaming setup I’m leaning toward getting future titles on PC over my XSX I think. Don’t think I need a second controller?

If I can piggy back on this thread - my XBox one controller which I have for my PC has started to play up. left trigger is self actuating, and getting some stick drift. Very strange, it's gone from faultless to both these things happening regularly in a day!

Anyway, I use it with an official dongle, as I found it a lot less reliable via 'normal' bluetooth way back when I first got it. If I replace it with a Xbox series X controller, will it use the same dongle?

You can get the 8bitdo Ultimate HALL effect (comes with a charging dock and a dongle) for less than a Xbox Series X controller at around £40, same design as the xbox pad.

The hall sensors shouldn't develop any drift issues, I've had one since just before Christmas and its been fantastic.

Thanks, but I think I'm happy to go XBox again. It's the shape that I'm used to, and the current one has lasted more than 5 years so I'm pretty satisfied with that!

I think I've answered my own question to be honest - the currently available wireless adapter is the exact same one I have, so it should be compatible.

Perfectly understandable, I came from a preference for Xbox shape/layout myself and it's partly what drew me to the ultimate as they're very similar.
