Benchmarking details

Benchmarking
Benchmarking allows you to gauge the performance of your processor. Intel® Extreme Tuning Utility uses Prime95 as the benchmarking engine. Since Prime95 returns a time as a result, Intel® Extreme Tuning Utility uses a simple formula to convert the time into a score. The higher the score, the better your system is performing.

The benchmark algorithm uses the system's active settings for benchmarking. Your Current Score is updated each time you run the benchmark and is recorded for a given set of system settings. If you change any settings, the Current Score will be reset. When you save a profile, the Current Score is saved with the profile.

You cannot run the benchmark while any control settings are proposed. You must either apply or discard the proposed changes before you can run the benchmark. If you import a file that proposes changes to your system and apply those changes, the benchmark score will be reset. If you import a file that proposes changes to your system, but you discard the changes, the benchmark score will be restored to the value before importing the file.
Anyway DL the benchmark here https://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?keyword=""extreme+tuning+utility""

Run the benchmark and post a screen, either from the tool itself or HWbot if your registered.

Please also state cpu type and speed also ram, speed and timings or of course post a screen.

heres my first test run

Does this heat the cores up as much as p95 guys? If not ill give it a run later on my spec in sig, p95 is a no go on my chip as it gets to the mid 90's very quickly.:o

no mate, temps on mine reached 60c if i ran prime it would hit about 70c+

only takes about 2min to run the test

8gb team group vulcan red @ 2400mhz, 10-11-11-31, 2T.

OP updated ;)

Does not seem to install on an AMD system :(

Thats a shame :(

The leaderboard looks a little 'synthetic' if you like, call me a cynic but it makes me wonder whether intel have ensured that the lresults read like they do...

when you say synthetic the progression of cpu architecture the latter product will always come out on top at at equivalent clock speeds. Also not sure how ram affects this benchmark, weather it favours raw speed or timings, need to do more testing to find out.
