Was recently looking into my pc just to see if im getting the performace i should.

I ran a benchmark on Xtu to find that every 10 -20 second the current limit throttling tab flashes yellow for a second or so accompanied by a drop in certain frequencies.

Can anybody shed some light on this?

i can make a video or upload an image if its of further help. Im assuming its due to a power supply which may be tethering on the lines of supply. I have a 500w running a gtx 1070 and i7 4790k and when i tried to run a Oc a year or so ago even with a slight power increase in demand the Pc wouldnt post.

I hope this makes sense. Im pretty computer literate and can usually work stuff out using a quick google search but anything i read is not specific and lacks clarity to me.

OK... so the whole overclocking thing should be ignored as the system wasnt overclocked. But last night i was able to run a successfull OC none the less. There is no problem with not enough draw from my power supply thats is certain.

None the less i still get that warning on Xtu about current limit throttling.

@Disco_P I am currently running a Asus z97p Board, i7 4790k, gtx 1070 Rog strix OC, the PSU is a KL c500W.
