Xvid files in Premiere 6,5 how?

Hi guys,

I have premiere 6.5, but after importing an existing xvid file and then exporting, the video doesn't show, only the sound. Are there any Xvid plugins or apps that I need to run along with premiere?

I tried encoding as Xvid mpeg 4 and premiere crashed while trying to run a seperate "xvid status" window?

Can anyone help? Pleeeeease?

Just installed this....

XviD-1.1.2-01112006.exe (koepi)

but have the same problem as before, Premiere just crashes when trying to export the movie.

can you just save it as uncompressed avi for now

and use autogk to convert it to xvid (you can choose the filesize in autogk) its super easy to use, and will produce better quality than you can manually

hmmm I'll give it and things a go, thanks for trying to help.
 
before that, try rebooting that might make premiere re-scan the codecs

-have never used premiere, i just use virtualdub or autogk
