Need to find these codecs for my daughter to play some of here music videos but after the fresh install & lost the codecs i had, tryed DL more but can only find nimos xvid codecs & they wont play the videos..... anyone have any others?

I use Vista codec pack. Some people don't like them, but this one is good and updated often. Works on XP too

Cool, you should be able to play other file types too should you need to. It is a good codec pack.

codec packs are ****. FFDshow takes care of all your MPEG and x264 needs plus AC3 and practically everything else! Not to mention the post processing filters...

vista codec package is an exception

Either use ffdshow, or download individual codecs. Codec packs have a lot of rubbish.

I prefer individual codecs because they perform better for things like h.264 video.
