Cult hits Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami are both coming to PC, as Sega revealed just now exclusively at the PC Gaming Show. Valkyria Chronicles 4 will join them, too, with all three games having been only available on PS4 in the past. It's the first time Yakuza has come to PC in any form, and hopefully bodes well for the many other entries in the series. Yakuza 0 is coming first, and is available to pre-order from today. I'll update this story with more release details and an embedded sizzle reel in just over an hour.

This move underlines Sega's commitment to bringing the best of its Japanese back catalogue to PC, which has previously yielded great ports of Bayonetta and Vanquish, among others. Last year, I spoke to Sega's John Clark about the company's wish list of games to bring to PC—as far as I'm concerned, these were near the top of my list. How about Persona next year, guys?

The video also showcases the upcoming release of RPG Shining Resonance: Refrain, which comes to PC on 10 July, and the return of the first two Shenmue games. Look for loads more words on Yakuza in the coming weeks—particularly from PC Gamer's Phil Savage, who spent most of 2017 playing the entire series.

I play Yakuza loads on my PS4 Pro. Absolutely excellent game and series. It is very rough around the edges RPG like but huge fun with a ton of stuff to do. Great to see it on steam. Also Sega's attitude in remastering the games for the West has been most welcome.

One of the best series ever finally on PC, brilliant. It'd be fantastic if they brought over 6 and Kiwami 2 at some point. 60fps? Yes, please.

Be interesting to see what they do with the language options. No reason not to include the full range of subtitles and voice localization seeing as Steam isn't region restricted.

I wouldn't give Sega a penny for Yakuza until we know they'll bring the rest of the games in the series to PC.

I feel for those that wasted money on Bayonetta for the PC, only to be told they'll need to purchase extra hardware (Switch) to continue the playing the series.

Yeah but if no one buys the first two then they’ll think there isn’t the market for it and not port the others so it’s catch 22.

Just don't play it in front of the kids... The games have been massive successes in the west, which Sega did take notice of. The fact that they're bringing the rest of the games to the consoles (in time pending dialogue localistation) is excellent news.

Is Yakuza like Shenmue in terms of depth of exploration and side activites, or is it more combat based like Sleeping Dogs?

It'll be the usual Japanese audio + English subs, I think. I usually play these games in Japanese so I'd love to be able to select original subs.

I probably won't get Zero again as I already put a lot of time into it on the PS4 but I'd totally get Kiwami 2 on PC for 60fps if they're planning to port the latest titles as well.

EDIT: I'd also get Kiwami for sure if PC allows changing subs as I skipped it.

Yeah but there must be Japanese players who'd want it on PC, so I would expect the Japanese voice and subtitles to be present?
