Didn't see a thread for this after searching so thought I would make one.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon is now available to buy on Steam

It's a turn based strategy game set in the Yakuza world, ticks all the boxes for me.

The only thing I'm disappointed about is the price, £54:99 for the base model.
Ouch, them's console prices, think I'll wait for a sale.
Definite buy for me though at some point.

Anyone else interested?

Interested but not paying that price for sure
I like the setting and characters of the series but hated the combat. Bought 0 and Kiwami 1 + 2 a while back and regret it. I think the turn based play will be more enjoyable for this

There's not much interest for the series in the PC section of this board, it's more for long-time franchise fans so I wouldn't expect many responses. It's too goofy and oldschool.

I personally love Yakuza but I don't think it was a good decision to go for turn-based, even though it's decent fun. The original combat was great, though I can see why you could dislike it if you didn't spend more time with the game to unlock stuff.

I'll definitely play it but not at this price.

Still undecided about the turn based combat but I haven't played enough of it yet. The original combat was just ok for me, it seemed kinda janky anyway.

CD Keys have it cheaper, I'm waiting til I actually finish first 3 games first, hopefully by then we will have the HD collection too
Would be nice to see a HD collection, so we have the complete set.
Like you I'm waiting until I've finished playing the first three games, still on Yakuza 0, so much to do, especially if wanting to 100% it.
By the time I've completed the first three games Like a Dragon should be a good bit cheaper, one day it might end up on humble bundle :).

yeah i picked it up off cdkeys ( Japanese games always seem expensive ) and i'm on the start of chapter 2.
Can't wait to see some of these side quests, they're usually quite funny in Yakuza.

Yeah I got up to act 2 in zero awhile ago and sorta put it on back burner cause I started playing WoW again, now that I've quit for good I need to get back to it, it's just I've been playing other games like HZD.

As for price I expect it to drop decently to £10-15 by maybe March or so

Ha same as me for me Yakuza Zero, got to act 2 like you, then got waylaid into doing all the various activities in the same.
Started collecting all the glamour girl cards and then drifted out of the game.
One day I'll get back to it though, as I did enjoy what I played.

One thing I will say, I seem to be in minority of not being overly impressed with the new character you play, I kinda wanted to continue as Kiryu

I'm a huge fan of turn based combat, didn't want to pay full price though.

finally grabbed it off cdkeys for £22 :D

surprised to see so little interest in the pc section, no love for RPGs any more?
