Hey there,

Just picked up a 2002 FZS 600. It is an import from France, so therefore the speedo and total mileage/trip meter is kmh and not mph. I have a sticker over the dial so that I can see my speed in mph, but it would be good to have the electronic clock to display the mileage in miles!

Anyone perhaps know a quick fix?

Also how would I change the time on the right hand electronic clock?

The instruction manuals are in French and I can't find any information online! :(

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Here is a picture of the clocks, if you know which buttons to press do tell! Two buttons, Select and Reset.

Not exactly sure on analogue speedo's on the digitals you can get a little thing you plug in behind the clocks and converts it to mph, might be something similar with a face plate change, at work will have a look at some sights i use when im home see if theyve got any.

My NC30 has a Redial face fitted. Does the job with out having to resort to using a Sigma BC800

Already got one on the speedo.

I'm interested in the digital read outs of the total distance covered etc.

EDIT: sorry I see they do digital conversions too. For £70. hmmm don't know if it is worth that.

To change the clock, hold select and reset, then it'll start flashing - one will move the hour/minute along one, the other one will bump it to the next bit. That's how it is on my (also french) Fazer 1000, the clocks are the same.

Where did you get the sticker from? I've been looking for one as a temporary fix until I get some money together, apparently there's a guy around here who can change them over to miles, costs £100.

Edit: just seen Redial - I shall get onto them!

I tried holding both down for numerous seconds and nothing happened. The buttons must be knackered. MPH sticker was on the bike when I got it from a previous owner (bubbles under the sticker and all! :p)

Seeing as though you have a EU spec fazer too, what about the headlights and their pointing the wrong direction, did you do anything about that?

Just checked my dad's 600 manual, and it is as Mohinder says. No mention of a way to change the mileage into miles though.

Blind everyone

In seriousness - no, I've done nothing, and I've never been flashed or had angry looks, and I run my lights 24/7 too. I'd leave it unless an angry mob start coming after you tbh :D

my ninja was a import, I just brought uk clocks and pluged in and was fine as was analoge like yours, should be able to get a set real cheap on ebay
