If you're after something cheaper why don't you get the 0% finance on the YBR-125? It's almost £2k cheaper.

Although the MT-125 looks awesome and I'm pretty tempted by it :o

I'm gonna do my CBT and then look at doing my DAS within a year, so I'd rather not spend £4000+ on something I'll likely drop and then have to sell on.

Wow the last time I replied to this thread I was bitching about commuting on my 125 :D

Spend as little as possible on a 125 I'll be selling my YBR for around a grand when I finally get round to MOTing it and while it's a bit scuffed on a couple of the plastics it's absolutely fine otherwise.
Spending anymore than 1.5k on a 125 is madness, get something Japanese and they just don't go wrong and if they do it'll take you 5 minutes with the most basic toolkit in the world to have it stripped to the frame if you really must.
