Anyone planning to go to this? I'll admit the main point of interest for me is being able to test ride the MT07 (abliet a 35kw restricted one) on an off-road area, no licence needed (CBT holder here :(). MT-125 is also there to ride on the same area.

Should be able to have a decent sit on the MT09 and there's always the super extreme wheelie machine if I'm feeling confident :D

Tests rides available for the full licence holders, stunt area, MT09 sport tracker, etc etc.

45 miles each way for me, on a 125cc as well! Google reckons an hour and half, can't use motorways :( Should be good though, will keep an eye on the weather.

Nice

I got there about 1pm after nearly 2 hours of filtering along the A25.

Had a short ride on the MT-07 in the beginner/stunt area at 2:30pm - was a 35Kw version but don't think at the speeds I was doing it had any effect, I was nowhere near full throttle.

Felt small vs my varadero, a bit too small for me at 6ft 3in if anything (sat on an MT-09 later and it felt much more my size) and it felt lighter too, weight felt lower down. My knees were up close to the top of the tank, and there wasn't much in front of them, legs didn't really fit into the tank cut outs. Low set height too, the 09 has a higher seat, the 07 was maybe a bit too low for me.

VERY easy to ride, got into 2nd in the small area, box was very smooth. Clutch very light. Accelerator much more willing to rev than my bike. Did a couple of slow u turns and rode up and down the area, felt like I'd been riding it for months, it was that easy to ride.

Then I got to accelerate a bit more in 1st from a few mph....:D:D my bike will do 20mph in first, this will do 60mph. I could have done that all day :D

So basically: small, light, EXTREMELY easy to ride. Seemed to be a fair bit of torque from low down. :D Fuel gauge, gear position indicator, brakes were nice and sharp, made mine feel like they were made of paper. This was my first time riding a proper sized bike, so other people's impressions may be different.

Given the choice I think I'd take an MT-09 and set it to B mode for the first few months, or weeks, or days, or hours...:p

Heard a bloke get off the 09 after a test ride and he said "damn it, I bought an MT-07, I should have bought the MT-09!!!"

If anyone saw a tall skinny bloke sweating his balls off on a red varadero 125, that was me :)

Edit: they had the MT09 Sport tracker there, me likey very much. Big flat seat, carbon and alloy style front mudguard, looked nice.
