Yamaha XT660Z Tenere

Anyone owned or had the pleasure of riding one of these?

It's the bike I'd likely buy for a round the world trip (which I'm still researching lol).

Can't imagine what it would be like doing on a single. I mean, you have nice amount of torque, but bugger all power. I think if were going on different types of terrain, hills and nice flowing roads, i'd like more than 46hp power ready.

Honda Crossrunner?
Suzuki V-Strom 1000 Adventure?
KTM 1190 Adventure?

Plenty power/torque in a single 600,some can vibrate badly though,might be annoying on long journeys

Try owning a Ducati lol.

I'm used to a bit of vibration

I said Xt660 originally, but just noticed that the R1200GS is only 22KG heavier - I'd take the BMW!

If I was looking to do something like this and I had the money I would be looking at a multi cylinder large capacity machine, llike a Super Ten, 1200GS etc.

Its a long ass way round the world.
