YAMAHA YSP 1600 - Should I buy?

Good price from RS.

Go for it. I've just got the 2700 and very impressed. The 1600 will be very similar I'm sure...maybe weaker in the bass and less connections.

Yamaha have long been known for building quality soundbars and they continually get good reviews and don't rest on their laurals and continually improve.

Apart from the issue of the blowing caps in the YSP PSU's.
 
Yes. Heard that. Mostly on the older models to be fair.

Yamaha are easy to deal with to fix if you have an issue down the road. Or you can do it yourself.

I wouldn't worry about that when looking at the entire package.

I haven't heard the 1600...but I doubt you will be dissapointed.
 
Super. Make sure to let us know how you get on....

I didn't get the 6 yr included..nor bought it. It comes with 2 year guarantee...so hopefully I'll be OK after the 24m mark.
