They are awesome fans.

Though I think Scythe S-felx are better just a lot more expensive.

just because i was impressed at how quiet my case is now, i have 3x yate loons and 1x92mm xielnce fan in my case and have them now all running at 7v and its so much quieter.

cpu load temp has gone up from 54 to 57, but thats still pretty good at 3.2ghz

So, which is best overall? Price aside, is a Scythe S-Flex 1600 or 1200 rpm better/quieter than a Yate Loon fan?

Price aside the Yate-Loons are still better. And then they're cheaper too. Of course some people will always buy a more expensive part just because they can.

Another Yate Loon owner here

I've got 5 of them, 4 of them turned right down and one at full. Great at cooling even when turned right down.

Reading a CD in the drive is 5x louder than the whole PC :eek:

I only buy Noctua for my Liesl picture library. If it's possible to be in love with someone you've never met, then I'm in love with Liesl. It think it's just my age. It's not sexual (honest) - she just looks really nice.
