Lol I have joined the club with only 2 days left on my warranty I am one lucky mother. Not so bad I had an extended warranty anyway

so I wasn't worried about running it into the ground IE long gaming/film sessions. Half way through watching band of brothers on blu ray it skipped :eek:

, not good I thought considering brand new box set, took it out had no imperfections on the disk, put it back in error message :eek:

followed by another blu ray disk, another error message

. Then whacked a game in you guessed it an error message

rang Sony very helpful, there collecting it Monday and I wont see it for two weeks :mad:

no, they should have done a on the door replacement in around 2/3 days, maybe they didn't on yours if they are short on 60gig replacements and needed to actually fix yours instead.

yeh if you're on the phone to them always ask for compensation for them having it for 2 weeks.

I believe it has 2 lens's.... Normal one is working, the blu ray is broken.

Id also try compensation for health, a Blu-ray skipping so suddenly could have caused brain-activity spikes that kill neurons, resulting in foaming at the mouth.

depends when it was made, original 60gb's had one single laser that did everything inc. sacd playback.

lol isnt that a bit OTT considering Microsoft dont swap at the door and as standard take about 2 weeks? Unfortuantly you got the woes of having such a good SKU PS3 that isnt in production!
