Yay a free month of live!

I'm not sure if we're really gonna have many issues in the UK with a product that was lauched with a known and now well documented design fault when it comes to replacement. Although i guess a warrant will cover issues other than RROD.
 
Yeah I've returned headsets using the extended warranty and it covers my hard drive as well. Also the DVD drive which I've had fail twice and now the sammy in my spare is on it's last legs as well. The drive in this newer one is much quieter than any i've had before.

I would have preferred my old one back TBH as it has all my DRM attached to it and I still cannot get them to move it!

Tommorow they are getting a more firm phone call.

My new one didn't have my DRM transferred either. :(

I called support and spoke to one guy who said there was no such thing as a content licence and hung up after I told him that there actually was (apparently you've NEVER been able to play arcade games unless your connected to live. Also there's no such thing as a gamer profile only gamer tags, and I quote him: "NO THERE ARE NO PROFILES JUST TAGS").

Then I called again and the woman I talked to knew exactly what I was on about and has given me a support number arranged for me to be called back tomorrow by someone that can transfer my licences. :)

It's like lucky dip with support I guess.

Haha oh dear... you should have got his name and reported him or something! What a moron.

It even tells you about having to be connected to live when using anything than the original system it was downloaded on doesn't it?

He mentioned it but it wasn't a simple name and I forgot it quite quickly. :( I'd have asked to be transferred to his supervisor if he hadn't hung up on me. :mad:

Still the woman was helpful enough. Just hope this person calls today to sort it like she said.

Sorry to Hijack the thread but i got an e-mail from XBL saying you get 5 free game's when upgrading from silver. Just bought 3 month's of live but where do i get the free game's from?

Do they automatically get added to my account?
 
Finally these nobs have phoned me back regards my DRM. They cannot get it in their thick heads that I cannot use the website to change the DRM as I've used it in the last year.

He said he would change them manually himself, right up until he asks me how many liscenses I have linked to my old console.

Now he says I have to phone back in a month by which time they should have done it.

WHo can I write to about this rubbish. I need to complain to someone.

My 16 month old Elite 3RROD on me without warning tonight so I can finally, after 3 years, join the club.

I did pick up a 2nd Arcade for the lounge a couple of weeks ago so all is not lost though I now have to compete with the mrs for tv and gaming time as she's hooked on Fable 2 and Dancing Stage Universe 2!
 
Took just over a week from pick up to drop off. TBH I'd rather they fixed it and send it back like they used to and take another week or so.

I need my DRM tied to my console for when it's not online. They even packaged it with a label saying the DRM is transfered over.

About 100 music tracks I can no longer use because of it. They should make it movable once per month.

I phoned them again because after they replaced my console they said the DRM gets moved over and to wait 30 days. 30 days later and it's still not transfered and most people I talk to on the support don't even seem to get what I'm complaining about.

I finally got a ring back from a guy today and I had to go on for 5 minutes telling him the sorts of stuff I'd downloaded to verify it was me.

Then I got the "wait 30 days" line again.

I don't get why they cannot just reset the counter on the website to let me do it myself again in about 3 seconds.

I'm starting to get a little narked as I've probably spent between 20,000 and 30,000 live points and it's my sodding content.

Every call is the same, they sold me a crap console, they chose to replace it and suddenly it becomes my problem that I can't play my DLC offline!

Sadly I can't give up, I need to be able to access my content offline :(

Does any one even know of a complaints department. I've been looking to see who I would write to, but cannot find anyone?
