I was about to put down £300 for a new cdi unit for my suzuki intruder vl 125.

But I was lucky on eBay today and got one for £90 p&P :D
Can't wait to be back on the road again as It was my only means of transport to get to my gun club without paying expensive train fairs :(

Going to for my direct access soon as I can now and get rid of this 125cc lol.

Since it's a Suzuki, have you checked every single connector related to the ignition circuits, especially any that are relatively exposed around the front of the tank/headlight area? By check I don't mean just make sure they are clicked together, disconnect them and check every single pin and wire for corrosion.

Or there could be a reason you picked up £300 worth of kit for £90, do you have any way to check it's not another faulty unit?

Thanks all for the advice :)

Me + 3 others have checked and double checked wires/connections using multimeter and we can't tell what is wrong.

But I am going to take the bike to my mates shop next week as he know what to check for more then us.

If it turns out the cdi unit faulty I will get in contact with the ebay seller.

No spark from both coils and one of them is a new one.

And my mate said that on the coil it has 2 pins and only one of them should be getting 12v of power but on my bike when you connect the cdi unit both pins get 12v of power

Sorry very hard ti explain what it's doing but I will get a video uploaded later.

Thank you.

Yes I do Dogbreath I have a service manual but some things don't look right.

The wiring diagrams wires and the number of wires used don't match what I have going to my cdi unit.
Everything else in the manual seems to correct other then that:confused:

I am probably reading it wrong lol :(

Thanks
