Ok so my pathetic little x2 3800 needs itself more overclocking. Atm its at 2.45ghz (from stock of 1.8), turned the voltage up by about 0.5 I think, and put the ram multiplier down so its only at 450mhz. Alls fine and stable atm. Last time I notched it up to a few mhz more it boots fine but gets into the habit of switching the pc off after a couple of minutes.

Basically I am wondering whos fault this is? the voltage, ram or something more sinister like mobo?

Sorry I shoulda mentioned, I brought a tuniq cooler. Fun stuff. atm on load the temps about 55C, and about 35 idle. core is at 1.45v atm, socket 939, DDR1 corsair, decent stuff when it was around! I will try more voltage
