Yearly Game Releases - When?

Hi,

I am looking at buying FIFA 08 for the 360, but am wary of when the next version will be released. Now I know FIFA 09 (we can be pretty certain they will release this ) will be released in 08, but at what point in the year does it usually happen? I am assuming much later on, towards 09 itself, but I would like to check before I buy a game that is replaced not long after.
