Yellowish samsung 27sb970d

Hello. I have a macbook pro early 2011 17" and i bought samsung s27b970d as external monitor. I am not satisfied with the samsung because it seems yellowish near the macbook pro screen. Is this normal? Is there any possibility the samsung is defective?

have you tried changing the settings? it might be on warm by default

Yeah make sure it's on the "High Bright" setting as this is the one that TFT Central recommend for general use and then lower the brightness level itself manually to about 45-50 or whatever you feel comfortable with.

Yes, I tried to change colour temp but it is not as white as the macbook pro screen.

Thanks. The photo is taken with "High Bright" setting with 100% Brightness..

And how is it on 'Standard' mode? The S27B970D is usually calibrated quite tightly to a 6500K white point without this sort of tint. It could also be that your MacBook has a cool tint (>6500K) so that the Samsung looks 'yellow' in comparison. There's also the third possibility - and we both know what that is - where a replacement might be in order.
