Hello all,
Yet another Newbie intro I'm afraid.
Having been on many forums of various kinds, I hate doing them, few people read them and there's usually little to say of note, but it's the polite thing to do, so...
Me:
Ttaskmaster - Don't ask about the double T, it's nothing special.
Age: 33
Owned computers since the 48K speccy, played a few games here and there but fairly new to the modern side. Mostly used PCs for work - Win95, 98 and so on. Jump-started myself into gaming with Steam and Origin, have learned a fair bit and while I still know naff-all in the grand scheme of things, I console myself with the fact that I can usually find Noob instructions for the things I need to achieve.
Not the best at gaming or hardware configurations, but I do love my fancy peripherals and will happily spend hours geeking out about them with you.
While you'll see me crop up in threads here and there, you'll most likely find me in your Biker's Cafe enjoying the wenches!!
My 'rig', such as it is:
Kentsfield Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @2.4GHz running Windows 7
Packard Bell BV PT890-8237A
Chipset: VIA P4M890
Southbridge VIA VT8237A
LPCIO: ITE IT8718
ATX 775 Motherboard Foxxconn Micro
4GB DDR2 Single channel
2gb Radeon HD6950
Saving for an upgrade to an i5 on a P8Z68-V mobo and building a system around that, which will be my first build. I'm not rich, so putting aside cash for all the bits - PSU, SSDs, bay mods - Some of it is Shiny Kit Syndrome, but most of what I'm aiming for will hopefully carry on to whatever I upgrade to in a few years time as well.
So yeah... Hello.
Rgds,
Tasky.
