Yep its confirmed, a BLACK P150

Is it not silver?

Well if it is, I may be getting one, matches perfectly with my setup. Also, notice no PSU,

lets see- P150= £93 - Neo HE (£50 at least (£64 retail) ) = £43 :O :O :O

Now thats a bargain.

I think the point Noni is making is that it comes with a PSU, which he thinks would cost in the region of £50/60

Hence saying the case is only £40

How good the PSU is i don't know, and whether the fact it has a PSU is a good thing or not is subjective really as you can't say you'll just have the case for £40

Im saying that the P150 without a psu should cost in the region of £40 as the PSU costs £64 retail.

We shall see,

I mean, even if they take £50 off and leave the case without a PSU it will still be around £40, and a great case for that money.

Im still baffled at why Antec cannot just produce a PSU'less version.

Looks good I was almost tempted to go with the P150 with those drive mountings...

but im happy I went eclipse 62, just gotta pick the right parts ie a scythe ninja+120 silent fan and scythe hdd silent box.

But yeah its true can still hear more noise from a alu case then a solid heavy steel case those tend to block and cancel more noise, ive always pondered if Antec P180s noise cancelation on there case even works...

Will we ever find an Eclipse 62 killer? :p

Wow thats at least another £60 on top?

IMO, the eclipse is the best at its class, a large miditower. Unfortunatly, there is not much to contest it.

You would have to fit a silent heatsink and fan combo in the p150 to make it quiet so I do not see what you are getting at, a enclosure would be 1000000x better than some rubber screw mounts....

The mounts will only stop little vibrations, not any big ones, and they will not stop access and seeking noise the drive will make.

So really p150 + £60 aswell.

Rubber screw mounts? huh?

Im talking about the rubber band system. This means ZERO RESONATION, which is a problem with the eclipse. Obviously you need a silent heatsink and fan combo, you will need one in any silent system.

Yes, hardrive noise can be reduced with an enclosure, but they are very expensive (£30 minimum).

And what is your solution to multiple HD's?

A friend just bought a silentmaxx HD enclosure for his MAXTOR HD and installed it, I must say I was very impressed with the seek noise that was cut off, but the normal mode sounded the same.

This put me off buying it, as the seek noise on my maxtor is loud, but not worth £38.

Some sound proofing around the hardrive on a p150 with cleverly placed fans will produce a silimilar effect. for much cheaper might I add.
