Lo.

First, take a look here:

Notice the two boxes at the bottom the page. One about twitter and one about here.

Now look here:

http://blog.hardlightmedia.net/

There is nothing on the blog yet as I want to see if it will work first.

What I want to do is to have the latest 2 or 3 posts on the blog shown in the boxes on the news page. Probably with a character limit or something to show only a few lines?

It would then also need a self updating link to read the rest of the article and to view any comments.

Is this possible to do? And if so, how?

It's possible, but it depends what you are using to run the blog, I cant tell?

Mine (for example) runs on cutenews, which is quite good, but needs a bit of modding etc, but it can do what you have asked about. I am sure there are better/worse solutions but it's all about your preference, and I am sure the one you are using will have some sort of system to do the same.

btw - check your post in GD, i pointed something out there you will want to fix

What system are you running the blog on? Is it just a bunch of static pages or a CMS?

It's actually a tool with the One.com package that I used to set up the blog.

I'm not entirely sure how it's run...

Perhaps be better with a different system?

I'd go with something else personally

Depends how simple/complex you want to get. Look at Wordpress or pixie

can talk you through cutenews at some point if you like, take a look at www.theowngoal.com that site is fully running with cutenews and is pretty much doing exactly what you are looking for

Just had a play with this and I'm really impressed!! If you don't want something as big as wordpress then this is birllient, very easy to setup.

I wish I was on commission, I've had a few people use it on my reccomendation now
