Hi All,

In about 2months (maybe less) I am going to be receiving about £1.3-1.5k. I will be putting this towards a new PC. I do not need to spend it all but to be honest I don't mind as long as its worth it.

I will be keeping the following from my current PC:
512Gb Agility 4 SSD
2Tb HDD
Bluray Drive

The rest will be made into a PC for my better half, with other parts lying around the house.

I know that I want to stick with Intel and Nvidia as for many many years I have used this combination and not had a single issue. I have gone from a Q6600 to my current i5, I am hoping to look at an i7 this time. Also I am looking for the best Nvidia card I can afford, a little for the epenis and a little just because I can. Also I want to use my current 512Gb SSD as my games drive only, so I would want a 120Gb for my OS as I have felt a little restricted with my 60Gb SSD I currently have for my OS.

I have tried to spec a PC myself but I have been out of the game too long and so need to lean on some advice.

So OcUK, what you thinking?

EDIT: Also, I do not mind overclocking the CPU if that helps at all.

tbh, if you're waiting for another month or 2, its better to come back then. new stuff is always coming out and prices are changing, so what may be the best spec now may not be the best spec 2 months down the line

I agree with this, I just needed to get my thinking cap on.

I am liking what has been suggested so far. I am going to put 16gb RAM into the PC, rather then 8Gb as I do a bit of 3D design work and do actaully make use of more RAM. Also I will change the case to something else.

Nice suggestions so far though guys! Similar to what I specced myself meaning that I wasnt too far off the right path.

If anyone else has anymore input it would be great, otherwise thanks!

750W will be fine, and add some room for overclocking though you could whack in an 850W unit to be safe.
