Well, with my car going up for sale I needed some suitable stock, to suitably pimp my auction, so I trolled around till I found somewhere nice to park up and take some photos.

Oh, they're all un-edited too!

The car was going on the auction site we all know and love, and I decided that I'd had enough of poor auctions with lame descriptions and dodgy photos, so wasn't having any of that.

Armed with my dad's new Nikon-whatsit-some-5mp-jobbie-fancy-digital-trickery camera, these were the results :)

Ta..........yea, in some respects. Would love to keep her, very very hard to find a car like this but I don't have the option. Onwards to different things! :)

Quite shadowy photos but I like the first picture of both posts there. Good looking car for its age :D discreet little spoiler, just the way it should be.

I dont recognise the car at all though, before my time I guess. Whats the stats on it and how much do they go for ?

T reg must be like 1975 ?

T reg makes it a 78.

It's a Triumph Dolomite 1850HL Auto (breathes). Not a fast car, but a nice tourer. 91 brake, 0-60 in 12 seconds, 30-40mpg, a 1.85 slant four driving the rear wheels. Nice little motor really.

New car has the engine from the 'fast' Dolomite fitted - the Sprint. 127bhp (standard) 16 valve 2 litre, it's a great little lump. Tuneable to 280bhp too :D

Before your time? I'm twenty and on my third/fourth one  :D

Lashout,

Did you fit your Mountney? Was there a little plastic collar that needed removing before it would fit?

Yea - no plastic spacer that I came across, simply unthreaded the central nut, used my puller to get it off, slammed the new one on and tightened it up :D

Wow, those pictures are brilliant, the scenery is very suitable for the car.

That really looks like a beautiful car, and good luck for the auction.
