Okay.

Yesterday I posted asking about 2 specific products sold by OcUK, the Saitek KB with adjustable wrist rest and the Razer eXactmat and eXactrest. I mentioned I was thinking about upgrading to these products to try and improve my playing posture and ease some arm pain I had been experiencing.

However because some concerned boardies said 'go to your GP' and 'put a heat pack on it' (thanks for your concern), some over enthusiastic mod locked my post, I suspect before even reading my initial question. Neither of those things is giving out medical advice, and guess what, this ain't America, I'm not going to sue OcUK because I went to my GP and he gave me the wrong pills. Christ.

Now...if it's ok by the board, and in conjunction with my first question of my yesterdays post...and my first question of this post....would it be possible to have your thoughts and experiences with the Saitek PZ30AU Eclipse and the eXactmat with eXactrest - bearing in mind if you found them comfortable and quality products?

And for crying out loud don't anyone tell me to take an asprin or we'll be right back where we started. :p

Thanks guys :D

I have a saitek eclipse, and its fine for comfort i find.
I think the best way to prevent pain is to take frequent breaks and try moving the keyboard and mouse around a bit on the desk. I find resting more of my arms on the desk my moving the keyboard and mouse further away helps a lot.

Thanks Joe, good to know the Saitek's are comfortable. It's one of the only ones I have found with an actual adjustable wrist rest.

I found moving the mouse and keyboard closer together is less tiring and I brought a mini keyboard with smaller keys and no numberpad in order to do this.
It took a while to get used to it, (it isnt that small but I touchtype) but now I can type about 90% as fast as I ever could and its definetly an improvment imo.

All these big gaming keyboards with a 100 extra buttons are no good imo.

The saitek has no extra buttons, but it is a gamers keyboard rather than a typists keyboard.
If i were a typist i would get an ibm clicky keyboard and perhaps a gell wrist rest to ease any strain.

I've always preffer herbal rem...wait!

The keybaord is very nice, if not a bit, clunky. I move it round a lot and it rattles a tad, especially the wrist rest. I do like it though. Used my mates exactmat today, and, I'll be getting one I think.Very smooth and precise. :)

The saitek keyboard is of really high quality in my opinion since i just bought one recently. Being able to comfortably use it in your lap is quite nice too due to the fact that its solid :D. Im not really sure about how it compares with other keyboards for comfort though
