Ok this has happened to me once before but the issue seemed to resolve itself after about an hour. I've tried BT technical help line but the lass on the other end of the phone hardly spoke any english and literally would just leave me hanging on the line in utter silence for 10mins in between every bloomin sentence, an hour and a half later and i'm now off the phone and none the wiser whatsover.

The problem is this : I'm using 8mb btbroadband (more like 3mb, but hey it's bt) on a BT home hub. Around about every 20 seconds sometimes not even that my connection seems to drop and both the Broadband and Internet lights turn off and then it reconnects itself a few seconds later. I've tried restarting both the Router and the PC and even resetting the router but all to no avail. This has been happening for the past 4 hours and if anything seems worse than it was when it started. Now this wouldn't be so annoying if it only happened when browsing the net or if i didn't play online games but i do and that's kinda hard to do when i seem to lose connection 5 seconds after the game is loaded and logged in.

Any suggestions would be VERY helpful as trying to get BT to help or to even understand the language i speak is like trying to get blood out of a stone!

I've had the hub for about a month so far, here are the stats for it i found using the link in the sticky :

Thank you for the help Zil and sorry for being late getting back to this thread. I pretty much fell asleep with boredom from trying this, waiting, trying that, waiting, trying th... etc etc lol. I woke up the net morning and it seemed to be fine and then i had to go away for a coupla days for work and just back an hour ago. So far so good, i've set up a few torrents to download to use up the bandwidth and it seems to be holding up fine. If it happens again i'll prob buy the netgear router from OC as its the same as the one i used to have and it looks like its became very cheap for a decent router. If that doesn't work? Well then i'll just have to see about getting cable as i'm sick to death with BT and their crap.

Thanks again,

BD.
