Right it's time again to build a computer, but for my GF this time around.
Her budget being approx £400, give or take a little.
It will be used for general use, word processing and a little gaming.

I've put this together.

What do ya think?
Although some things to consider, im pretty set on the samsung F3 and 4gb RAM.
Also, that case seems the best buy for an all aluminium case, as im gonna get it powder coated pink for her:rolleyes:

As for the OS, ill buy buying that out of my own pocket in the next few days.
i've also said, i may upgrade a few parts, but ill pay for the difference over £400, ideally up to a £100 more.

What i thought:
Turn that 1TB drive into 2x500gb for Raid0.
Upgrading the processor to AM3, with DDR3 Memory.
And maybe changing the board to something a tad better so i can OC it :D
Also i may downgrade that graphics card, not sure it will be put to full use.
Her main game being Sims but i do use her computer whenever im testing my own or somethings rma's etc. (which seems to be quite often lately)

Raid those drives ;)

Not 100% sure about WDC Blacks, as every review i have seen the F3's are way better.
And i use them myself ;)

The case 100% has to be all aluminium as its getting powder coated.
Which doesn't help the price

The Asus mobo might be a choice but im not sure i wanna out of principle with my last RMA. :p

No-one thinking it could be worth while upgrading to a tri/quad core? and ddr3 mem, or just some wasted cash?

Or any mobo that is capable of OC'ing.
