Ok guys and girls, I currently have an E8400 on an Asus P5DWH Deluxe mobo, 4Gb ram and ATI 4870 512mb - monitor is Dell 2407 (1920x1200).

I'm addicted to Iracing at the moment and was thinking of upgrading to the following:

2 x Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5850 £437.96
Intel Core i7 920 - OEM £204.98
Asus P6T £176.76
Corsair XMS3 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C8 (1600MHz) Tri-Channel (TR3X6G1600C8) £173.99
Coolermaster HAF 932 Case £115.44
Corsair H50-1 High-Performance CPU Watercooler £58.99

Sub Total : £994.15
Shipping : £13.75
VAT : £176.38
Total : £1,184.28

I was then thinking later on of getting another 2407 monitor from fleabay and then a Dell U2410 to be the new main monitor in a 3 monitor setup.

Thoughts please....

Looks good.

However, I would suggest getting this RAM instead - its CL9 instead of 8, but the performance dip is tiny and you save £63.

What PSU will be using with it?

The mobo is great, but the SE version will perform well and save you money.

To be honest I would only be getting the gfx cards from OCUK - everything else I can get cheaper, and the ram I've see at £138 - God knows why OCUK are so much more expensive.

PSU is a Silverstone Strider 600W modular - should be beefy enough?

Anybody confirm/deny that my PSU will run the setup?

Well bit the bullet and bought the following:

2 x Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5850 (From OcUK)
Corsair HX 850W ATX Modular SLI Compliant Power Supply (from OcUK)
Asus Xonar D2 7.1 PCI Sound Card (From OcUK)
Intel Core i7 920
Asus P6T
Corsair XMS3 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C8 (1600MHz) Tri-Channel (TR3X6G1600C8)
Coolermaster HAF 932 Case
Corsair H50-1 High-Performance CPU Watercooler
Samsung SH-S223B/RSMN 22x DVD±R

Prices at another retailer meant I couldn't justify buying all the parts from OcUK.
So....just need to get 2 extra 24" 1920x1200 monitors and I'll hopefully be set.
I see that the Sapphire 5850's are out of stock again - they weren't when I put my order in last night so hope I'm not going to have to wait.
How am I going to explain this to the wife...

I'm heartbroken! The other supplier I was using for the other parts have delayed my order due to not having the DVD drive of all things in stock! Send the rest of it you baffoons or send an alternative! Don't delay the whole flippin' order and not send me an Email until half past 7!!!!

I'll be on to them first thing in the morning.

Ooooh...shiny, shiny....
