ey up lads (and lasses!)

no doubt you are already sick to the back teeth of answering these questions, but....

I have already ordered my Intel C2D E6750, will be getting some of the GeIL DDR800 2gb on the specials page later today/tomorrow, but very confused about the mobo.

First off, here are my needs:
Dont need crossfire or SLI
Dont ever tend to overclock
dont do raid
not particularly bothered about DDR3 ram (have seen some reviews, and it doesnt give that much of an increase IMHO)
preferably only want to spend upto a £100 max.

so - i have already looked at the Abit IP35 and IP35-E. also looked at the Asus P5K and P5K SE. have heard good and bad reports about 'start stop starts', overheating etc etc.

HELP! :D

Any of those boards will be good for default.

But this is the list that I would go for in order.(prices are circa & +postage depending upon where you buy from.)

gigabyte GA_p35_DS3R - £90

Abit IP35-E - £70

Asus P5K-(se) - £80

Gigabyte give you a mass of good stability/overclocking options/features, but check with HSF compatability IF you are not going to use the std cooler. otherwise go for this - as it has everything and more then you will likely need.

Abit is o.k - has a few niggles, nothing major - and should be fixed with future BIOS updates.
Asus is about as cut down as you can get , from a top line vendor.

All those board will give you good - very good overclocking options, and lots of info floating about - the gigabyte is probably the most popular out of those three.
