Right, firstly I know that there are a LOT of threads about this already but I think I have sort of a different situation, maybe.

I've been toying with the idea of getting a 360 for a while now, and what appeals to me is that I can go on live with my mates and have a blast, without too much cost (As opposed to PC gaming).

Chris1712 has been trying to persuade me all day and no matter how hard he tries or how close he gets to convincing me, there's something holding me back. Can someone give me a final big reason to just go and buy the damn thing?

So what seems to be holding you back buddy, is it the cost or won't you use it enough to justify buying it.

The reasons I decided on buying an Xbox where:

1) Play with the boys on live although I haven't bought a router yet but will do soon.

2) Quality graphics.

3) Cheaper in the long run as opposed to upgrading you computer.

4) Some excellent games due out in the next few months and you can even play the original Xbox games providing you have the update.

to be honest there are no decent games for it and the ones that are decent are ancient, wait for halo 3 then buy this console

In your opinion, though for the most part, I'd say personally 80% of the games don't appeal to me at all, though Table Tennis does.

I'd have a 360 JUST for table tennis :p

Agree with above post.

LOL I actually meant I agree with PsychoSonny, I'd wait until some better games come ot for it, I have one and it hardly gets used at the moment.

And other + points,

Great HDTV picture, and still looks good on a normal TV.
Xbox Live just works, so easy and couldn't me simpler to set up and use.
Sound (with 5.1DD) is great.

Very good looking games in the coming months / year:

Mass Effect
Jade Empire 2
Knights of the Old Republic 3 (Likely)
Halo 3

Thanks guys, I think I'll hold off a little before investing as I can't STAND having spent money on something and not using it quite a lot.

Well we will see nearer the time I guess, certianly worth keeping an eye out for. What I really want is a new Rallisport Challenge.

Im addicted to Hitman Blood Money, Fight Night 3, Fifa and G.R.A.W.
If you had the spare cash you wouldnt regret it! Get it bought fella! :p

Does any1 use the wireless network adapter on thier 360? because my wireless router is placed downstairs and where i want to use the 360 is upstairs.

I was just wondering what the performance of the wireless network adapter is like and if it is viable for playing games online :) )

I have the Microsoft network adapter mate, great bit of kit, you'll have no problems with it.
