See quite a lot of people recommending going for a Q6600 over an E6850 because it's a quad and can be overclocked to a 6850 speed etc...
How well does the E6850 overclock, especially since it's got a 600MHz headstart from stock?
Given the same, normal (i.e. air) cooling, e.g. a Tuniq Tower, how high will both likely clock to?
The price difference between the two is negligble given the previous prices of CPUs so, given current game requirements and use of multi-cores (and potential use by future games), the extra heat of the quad and the guaranteed minimum 3GHz speed of the 6850, why is there still such a seeming weighted recommendation for the Q6600 over the 6850?
