yet another framerate problem from me

i honestly cant work out what is causing this one.

i have had the crysis demo for ages and i can play it on very high graphics all around with a framerate of ~25FPS. in the area i have been doing my tests (the very eginning, just after you land) im getting 32FPS on average on the highest settings the demo has

i have now just installed the full game to my PC. on the same level i am getting horrific framerate. i'm lucky to get 8FPS when i apply the same settings. i can just about get to 20FPS with everything at its absolute lowest.

i have tried it both with crysis's in game FPS checker and fraps and they give similar results. the games are both running at DX10. i get the horrible framerate both with version 1.0, and version 1.21 (dont worry, i installed version 1.1 and 1.2 before i did 1.21)

can someone please tell me what on earth is causing the ridiculous framerate problems

oh my good god. it was a driver issue AGAIN. the graphics card was rarely going above 50% usage, and was staying incredibly cool, so i reinstalled the drivers for the 3rd time this week, and all is good.

something is seriously wrong with my computer RE: graphics drivers. im having to reinstall them on a daily basis if i want to play crysis :mad:

will be trying a windows reinstall when i have the time to back everything up

funny u should say this, i had stuttering problems for months until i managed to wipe the drivers after trying another graphics card. i have the 460 768mb like u. may i ask how u wipe the drivers fully without installing a new card?

I've recently gone to windows 7 and Im getting odd frame rates again, its not jerky... but.. its like off slightly. as if its going at 58 instead of 60. its just not quite right and its really annoying! v sync doesn't help the issue.
