Yet another iPhone problem for me

Hey.

I downloaded some wallpapers using Installer, and a message appeared from the author. It stated that they take up some space and would I like to create a different location for them to be saved (was called something prefit/prefetch). I clicked yes and installed it. It then crashed so I tried restarting, now all that shows is the Apple logo.

Help please! :p:(

Thanks.

Have you tried a hard reset, hold down the sleep wake and the home button?

If not it may need to be restored, is it jailbroken?

Just googled around and it looks like a restore is the only solution. Does independance or ibrickr recognise it?

You could use Fugu to access the phone and delete the file. See if it clears the problem.

That.

I had this problem when I upgraded to 1.1.3 and installed the Springboard hack. I had forgotten to set the permissions before restarting, fixed these via SSH worked. :)

Fugu is OS X only isn't it?

Probably, it's not like Windows is void of clients that work with the iPhone though, WinSCP and SmartFTP both work fine for me. :)

Do you know your private default IP address? Such as xxx.xxx.x.1 or what you use to log into your router?

If it's xxx.xxx.x.1 then the iPhone address would be xxx.xxx.x.2 or .3 or .4 etc. Just trial and error to find it.

You're all nubs.

Settings > Wi-Fi > Your connected network > IP.

If I missed something, look in the DHCP table of your router.
