Yet another laptop spec check...

I'm on the lookout for a budget(ish) gaming laptop for my 13 year old for Christmas and am a bit out of the loop when it comes to laptops!

I've seen a Lenovo LOQ 15.6" for £850 with the following specs:

- 1080p 144Hz IPS screen
- i5-12450HX CPU
- 24gb RAM (4800?)
- RTX 4050 (6GB)
- 1TB SSD

I've had Lenovo laptops before so happy with build quality and screen etc but I just wasn't sure whether the CPU/GPU combination was going to cut it these days for gaming?

In all fairness he doesn't play too many games and those he does aren't generally too demanding!

Thanks for any opinions!
 
Scratch that spec, seen another laptop with 16gb RAM but a 4060 for £800 - so same question, is this decent for a budget gaming laptop?
