So i have the side distro plate, i need new rad/ cpu block as both ate 5+ years old,

Do i buy them and use the distro plate or

A barrow cpu pump combo new rad + 3 new fans?

You need new rad and block because
You moved to a new platform?
Rads and blocks have no mechanical parts
Not likely to be anything wrong with them after 5 years
Other than maybe clean micro fins
I have some twice that age that still work fine

Not sure there's a right or wrong answer
To your question
Unless the distro pump wouldn't be up to
The job for some reason
It sounds like basically for aesthetics
Though not really got a lot of info
Other than your pc case and a side distro

The condensed design from Barrow, as the EKWB, is very interesting and would simplify matters greatly, if one is building in a small format.
Personally, I rather have all separate components, as if one goes wrong, only that should be replaced.
For those sensible/picky about noise, the pump of choice would be a D5.
Another option would be the radiator which include a pump in it, same concept as the mentioned waterblock combo.
If it was my call I would use the distro.

You could even use both
Depending how much rooms available
Since we don't know everything that's going in there
Distro looks good
But a second pump for redundancy
Is never a bad idea in my opinion
My current build is one of the few times
I haven't put a second pump in there
As just wasn't much room left at all
D5 and ddc are pretty reliable
But you're still at the mercy of 1 point of failure

so at the moment my supremecy evo has a lot of corrosion in the micro fins so needs replacing the rad mioght be okay but i figured i might as replace it, its pretty much about aesthetics, i mean i could get a bracket and convert my eve to amd, im currently using a R 5500, recent free upgrade from a 6700k, and a msi 6570xt trio there is only 1 water block that i can see that will fit that so not really sure as i dont like to shop on aliexpress, so only currently watercooling the cpu

For aesthetics
Yeah I would prefer distro personally
I never get a gpu before checking block availability
You may find one from
Alphacool, barrow or byski
Never used aliexpress myself
But plenty guys in here have for things like byski blocks

In mine (lined below), I use a distro plate in the front from Barrow and a seperate Barrow pump... you don't need to replace the rads but just flush and blast air to clean them so unless corroded could you not reuse?
