Not the best place but only place i can think of :)

Got my macbook pro linked up to my Dell 2407WFP A03 via DVI to DVI cable.

Not sure if this has happened since i have been using the monitor or not but i have recently noticed that in dark areas of the screen, ie jpeg with dark background, or in games with dark areas, random pixels flicker from being on to being white.
Only happens to random pixels and if i move a dark image around my screen the problem will follow the image.

So is this either slight artifacting from the graphics card?
or is it more likely to be a problem with the DVI connection on my monitor or the cable?
The cable is one i got with a monitor a year ago and it was fine on that but not sure if its the cable here!

Anyone else had this problem or know what it could be ?

Thanks!

It sounds like the machine to me, but picking up a DVI cable from somewhere with a decent returns policy will soon show you if it's actually the cable at fault.

need to try and get a cable , but ive noticed that on the DVI connection i have a 1 dead or stuck pixel, its red, but on windows using VGA i cant see it ?

dell replacing the monitor within the next week, hopefully sort it out , otherwise its the macbook!

Anyone else had this problem ?
