hi all

ordering a new rig tonight but need some advice re MB, RAM and PSU.
my main concern is that im really not sure if the MB and RAM are compatable (so need advice on this) and whether the PSU is any good, also if any parts should be swapped out for a different model etc.
so far i have put the below setup together but really need help on this before i order. i appreciate there are about ten of these posts a day but again, any advice is appreciated.

cheers

Are you sure you want to spend that much on a video card? even if you did want the Ultra you could get the OcUK version which is a good chunk cheaper and they are all basically the same cards anyway. I would even say you could get a GTX and save yourself a lot of cash. Also you could get 2x 500gb AAKS for the price of the 750GB, granted it's 2 drives but it's also 250gb more space. The PSU is very expensive, and you could get away with the 620w corsair for that system and 1x ultra, and it's £40 cheaper.

thanks everybody for your help, ive made a few changes taking into consideration your ideas, by changing the hd's and going for the Abit IP35 Pro (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard but instead of the ocz pc6400 could someone spec me a compatable pc2 8500 chip?

cheers

Well the RAM is compatible but I think it's a waste of money. If you have money set aside get 4+ GiB rather than RAM that'll be very underclocked all its life.

ok (senceable head on), your right, no point throwing it away. heading for the checkout now with the 6400's and again thanks for your help BillytheImpaler
