Yet another 'New Rig What Games?' thread...

Right,

I've spent the best part of £1,300 on a new system that will arrive on Monday...

The important bits in relation to this therad are that it'll be running an i5 Ivybridge, a GTX670 and will have 8 gig of 1600mhz RAM, and I intend to play everything at 1080....

I'm looking forward to cranking CoH to Ultra settings, and I've also just picked up Shogun TW2 (Sadly, not from steam which is a real shame, but was £22 cheaper from Amazon).

I'm also thinking about picking up Arkham City for future 3D when I can afford a 3D monitor.

Anything else I need to get involved in?

I'm coming from an Athlon 64, 4 gig of much slower RAM and a Radeon 4600, so could never run GTA IV at decent settings and don't really have anything more recent than that....

Shogun TW2 is a Steamworks game so will activate on Steam no matter where u bought it

Why not look through those other "new rig what games threads"? Pretty much the same games get mentioned in all those threads

Max Payne 3.
Shogun 2 can make any rig strain a bit if you have everything on Ultra in the larger battles so just be warned.

I looked through the first couple of pages and none jumped out at me so I guessed it had been a while since the last.

lol COH on ultra settings looks awesome, I still lag when panning to ground level.

maybe Arma 2/Arrowhead if hardcore military simulation sounds like your thing.
