Ive just got a Black Ice GT Stealth 120.1, a Laing DDC 10w Pump with EK-DDC X-TOP Rev.2 Plexi, a Swiftech MCRES-Micro and XSPC Delta V3 CPU Waterblock for my new I7 rig (yes i know a single Rad is baaaaddd, but i just want CPU cooling for now), now i know where everythings going inside my case, i know about all the fittings and clips i need, i know i need to wash out the rad before i start using it...
The one thing i can't seem to fathom out, is how i'm going to fill it... do i fill the res up with a funnel to the limit line and use that paper clip hack to start up the pump and run the loop to test for leaks without all the other hardware working... the reason i'm confused is becuase your not mean't to have the pump run dry, but surely for a couple of seconds before the coolant reaches the pump it's going to be running dry and this is baaaddd, am i being completly nooby as i think or is there something simple i'm missing out on as this is my first water cooling venture?
Also, if i get some feser coolant, do i still need to by distilled/Dionised water?
