Yet another should i keep hyperthreading turned off for gaming?

It depends on how the game is coded, probably very little effect for most games that spend most of their time on gpu-loops - I'd say it helps as a result, but only a few % here or there.

Enough to leave it off? right now i am using the stock cooler and am trying to get a nice OC on the chip. Xmas time i am getting he titan cpu cooler. So maybe then i will enable HT.

titan fenrir?

time yourself installing the fan, I think it took me almost an hour the first time I installed one :D

My I7 reaches 3.8 Ghz with Hyper Threading on. Turning it off doesnt allow me to get to 4.0 Ghz, it blue screens very quickly, so I just run at 3.8 Ghz with HT on.

There's no real justification to turn it off, the only logical reason to do it would be to obtain a higher overclock because there is less load/stress on the CPU without it.

Does HT have an affect on games? does it increase peformance?

It will do when games utilise enough threads, right now though the majority don't even make use of quad core fully.
