Hey guys.

How is this spec? I've been playing around with a lot of stuff atm, and well, my budget has kind of raised =P.

Only thing i'm worried about is:

- Is the GFX card an overkill?
- Will that CPU cooler fit in that case?

Thanks =D

Its not that, its just way too expensive and not worth that insane amount of money.

Yes.

I would however change the Gfx Card to this...

BFG GeForce 8800 GTX 769MB DDR3
Lifetime Warranty aswell.

I also suggest if you havent already to read up and do a little research on the difference between the Creative X-Fi SB Xtreme Music & Gamer Version as even though the Gamer Version is slightly more expensive and got "Gamer" in it doesnt mean its Neccesarily better than the Music edition even at Gaming.

You might want to think about getting 4GB RAM, you certainly have the budget for it and you wouldnt need to worry about having enough RAM for a while although you will need a 64Bit Operating system which brings me nicely on to say, Do you need an OS? Also if you intend on Overclocking then i suggest you buy the PC-5300 667MHz Ballistix RAM instead as it has great overclocking potential and will easily go to and beyond 800MHz saving you a few pounds their.

Other than that and maybe a slight change in the Motherboard but the one you chose will fit all your needs theirs nothing else i would change, enjoy your new spec and let us know how you get on.

I bought almost that exact spec reently, and the cooler was virtually impossible to fit in the case.

(It covers up one of the power cable slots, so you have to plug in the power before attatching the board whilst still having the cooler inplace....its virtually impossible, had to take out the top case fan to manage and sliced my fingers to bits).

The PSU is a bit of a pain too, its a gorgeous looking case, very quiet and cool, but you may want to look for one with a removeable mb tray if your using a big CPU cooler.

Go for the 667mhz version of that ram, it overclocks well and is more than enougth if you dont plan to OC.
