My friend has asked me to price/build a computer for him. His main requirements were that it had Vista on it and that he needed a decent size monitor for around £500, he said that he wouldnt be gaming right away on it as he has a PS3 but in the future he may plan to upgrade. So please take a look and if there is anything I should change then I would be greatful for any input.

Thanks in advance

hey, are you building a full new pc... because if so, you are missing a Power Supply.

other than that, it looks good to me.. it might be worth spending a couple of extra quid and getting a P35 motherboard, would upgrade better than that one... i think. If you wanted to go for the E2200 also, you could save on the RAM.. as you probably wont see a benefit of having 4GB with that kind of system, and since he is gaming on a PS3... I think £35 could be spent better elsewhere.:)

Power supply is included in the case so that base is covered. I put 4gb in as I wanted to future proof him and the prices at the moment are cheap. I was looking at the e2200 but I was thinking of giving the processor a mild overclock to get more performance out of it, will this Mobo and RAM be able to give this chip a decent overclock or would I have to change to a P35 chipset mobo?

Thanks for all your replies I was meant to choose Vista Premium but must've selected Basic by accident. I will let him know that he may have to put up a bit more cash based on the recommendations you have given.
