This will be my first build from complete scratch. I seem to have always been waiting for some new bit of kit to come out - laterly the new RD580 MB chipset. Time to jump now. I intend to get another X1900 when I see how this goes.

I guess my questions are:

Does it all fit together?

Could it be improved for the much the same cost?

Will the PSU cables be long enough for the TJ07.

I keep changing my mind on the case - still like the V1100 plus

Grateful for suggestions.

looks class.

except... unless your thinking of going crossfire in the near future, there is no point of the crossfire edition of the gfx card... dearer than normal edition

but you may be planning on getting the 2nd x1900 card soon :)

It all looks good, as suggested I'd change the graphics card and get the X1900XTX as the fastest graphics card around. The master cards are slower and more expensive right now.

I reckon the Plextor is overpriced for what it is but it does look cool so maybe that is reason enough to buy it.

If you are going to be overclocking then you may want to change the Ram as well to something a little better, if not then Geil Value is good stuff.

As suggested get a Sapphire X1900XTX (appear to be best overclockers) & then if you want later get a mastercard.

Other than that the rig looks ace.

You dont need:-
CB-000-WD Western Digital Secure Connect Serial ATA Cable (CB-000-WD) 1
£4.95 £4.95
CB-020-GE Akasa Rounded Ultra ATA133/100/66 IDE Cable (0.45m) - Metal Braided (CB-020-GE) 2
£4.95 £9.90
CB-053-GE Akasa Serial ATA 45cm Silver Data Cable (CB-053-GE) 2
£3.50 £7.00

The cables will come with the mobo so these arent needed unless u specifically want the round IDE cables?
