Yet Another Spec me

Currently my pc consists of:

3000 amd winchester
abit AV8
1gig geil value (starting to break, memtest errors etc)
6800LE unlocked etc

Looking to spend say... 500 - 700 would like to move onto a dual core and defiantly 2gig of memory. A mildly decent GPU would be nice but i mainly spend my time playing World of warcraft but wouldn't mind to be able to play some nice eye-candy games. Would also see if I can fit in a nice new pc case as my current one is I believe is made out of old coke cans and razor blades, i love the look of the eclipse 62 but its quite expensive or an antec super lanboy.
 
This is around the middle of your budget and offers a good solid system that should overclock well (with the addition of a good aftermarket cooler for best results). You could fit an 8800GTS into the budget but for your uses it might not be totally worth it. :)

My psu is fine, Its a XGBox Vortec 600w.

The spec looks really nice. I completely forgot how nice those lian li cases are will defiantly be getting it. Also think ill stick with the x1950pro.

Think with the extra cash ill get a new desk with decent mousemat and new mouse.

No worries, I'm curious about the PSU though. I've never heard of XGBox before, do you have a link to the manufacturers website please? Don't bother if it might be a competitor though or they are only stocked elsewhere. :)
 
Thanks for the link, still not any the wiser as to who manufactures them as I've never heard of the parent company (MGE Company) either but they don't seem too bad although I'm still going to have a look for more detailed specifications purely to satisfy my own curiousity as the information on the website is pretty sparse. Enjoy the new PC though. :)
 
Well i cant decide whether to get the 8800gts or the x1950pro. Im not spending as much as i thought so think ill go with it.

Just heard its quite big (the card) so hoping it will fit with everything inside that case.
 
There are quite a few people with the Lian Li and an 8800GTS so you should have no problems. :)

Having done a bit more checking the Vortec 600w apparantly has 37A on the 12V rail which is fairly respectable but none of the reviews I've come across are from any of the "big names" so they aren't hugely in-depth but it seems fairly good and is supposed to also have a lifetime warranty.
