Well this is my first post here and my first attempt of building a pc but iv been trying to read as much as possible to understand all this better. I have seen you guys must get a lot of these but i would be very gratefull if a few peeps would give this a quick look over and post there veiws.

Im looking to be able to run games like crysis at high settings but also use it for watching DLed HD films through a hd tv. Iv never overclocked anything before (Dell:mad:) so i would like to learn how on this new rig. I allready got screen/keyboard/mouse/speakers.

Is there any items that you think would be better changed or bits missing? One thing i dont really know much about is mobos but i have read loads of reveiws and this seems to be the one to go for.

Thanks for anyone who takes the time to reply. :D

Spending that money on 2GB RAM is unnecessary, you can get 4GB 800MHz for the same price and it will run any moderate overclock with ease (I never thought I'd say spending £75 on 2GB DDR2 ram is unnecessary lol)

Also would change the 2 harddrives for 1 500GB, again saving you money.

Perhaps the case is a bit overkill? No need to spend that much on one, buy one you like the look of for a third of the price.

The Corsair PSUs are nice too, but that's just a matter of preference (620W for me :D)

Finally I wouldn't expect to play Crysis on high - hardly any systems can run it playable at full settings, so if you like go for a 8800GT + upgrade when the new cards are out.

+ A DDR3 mobo is perhaps unnecessary for now, but that's really all I can suggest, otherwise looks good.

Well i thought i read somewhere that 2Gb or ram *** OC more stable than 4. I would be happy to go with one 500Gb Hd and the mobo too cus to be honest i didnt really notice the differance.

As for the case, i have a piano plack hdtv which this will be sitting next to. im looking for it to be really stylish but its gotta be black.

i really like this but will a GTX fit in it?

Thanks for the replys.

Edit: this more like it?

You might need a fan with that CPU cooler, I don't really know much about aftermarket CPU heatsinks as i went straight to putting mine under water.

+ I would have thought the GTX would fit in either of those cases, and fits in much less expensive cases as well :P

As for the motherboard, again I don't really know much about this, you're best off looking in the Motherboard forum to see what people recommend for overclocking quads.
