(Yet another) spec thread.

Hey all, looking to go full ATX with the following components.

E6600
4GB Ballistix RED
3870X2
150GB Raptor
TRU120-E
HX620
X-Fi XtremeMusic

Will probably want to add another 3870 and Q9450 later.

Obviously i'd like to be able to get a hefty overclock out of both the processor I have now and the one I plan to have.

Budget is £150.

What do people think?

if you really expect to go Crossfire then X38/X48 chipset mobo.

Asus Maximus Formula.

Slightly over budget.

Or Abit IX38 QuadGT.

No idea mate I'm afraid. I know they are both good, I imagine it would come down to manufacturer preference.

The Asus P5E and Gigabyte GA-EX38-DS5 would also be worth a look at.....

Dont bother with a raptor.

A larger slower drive would actually run quicker as you start filling it up.

Already got it, had it for ages. I love my raptor!
