Yet another stupid idea from Facebook! They have started banning people from adding friends! They banned me for 7 days for adding someone THEY suggested (and have mutual friends) and a few of my friends have been it by this!

SORT IT OUT FACEBOOK OR YOU'LL FIND LOADS OF PEOPLE LEAVING!

It wont have been from adding one or two, its mass invites.

Don't invite random people and it won happen, seems fair tbh.

Exactly - Why would you add people you dont know just because you have mutual friends? Seems a bit odd to me. Either that or you are "one of those" who measures their social standing by the number of facebook friends they have.
 
Facebook actually recommends 'People you may know', it's still up to you to only add people you know. I bet you were only adding hot girls too :p

But previously you may have added a mass of people, this just tipped the scales.

It shouldn't be that much of a problem now, you must have had FB for a long time by now so already have most your mates on it.

I've got under 30 friends and family on Facebook!
I've been with FB for about 4 years! If it happends again, i might close my account in protest!

No wonder their shares have fallen under $20!
 
Surely this only happens if people decide to say 'I don't even know this person' when they get the request?

So perhaps you didn't know the person you added as well as you think, because they seemingly have no idea who you are.
 
This means they clicked to say they don't know you when they denied the friend request. It's hardly Facebook's fault, take it up with them or you know...stop adding random people who claim to not know you.
 
It does seem bugged though.. I added 3 people, all friends, all accepted.. and I got a warning about adding people I don't know. :confused:
 
Someone is telling porkies.

You have under 30 friends, in 4 years?? Why the sudden need for the friend request button then? Doesn't seem like you've ever used it enough to miss it so much for a week :confused:.

Or you could just be a dirty spammer :p.

Rubbish i'm afraid

My mum got one even though it was people wanting to add her!, she accepted the friend request and got a warning from facebook. Facebook also also keeps recommending friends yet they give you a slap if you do so :rolleyes::rolleyes:

I don't use fb that often maybe once or twice a day
