yet another tale of woe :(

Just built a PC the other day, and have just upset it.....

spec:
C2D 1.8 + arctic 7
Abit IP35-e
Asus 450w PSU
2x2gb 6400/800mhz Reaper RAM
250gb Maxtor HD
8800GTX
antec p180 case

I built this with a colleague, and clocked the CPU t0 2.8 which all seemed fine, however the system wouldn't run 3d mark, with an IdirectvectorBbuffer9 problem or something - so I set the CPU and ram back to defaults. On save and reboot - no video signal was given.

Re-set CMOS, rebooted and in BIOS, didn't change much really, as it'd gone back to the standard CPU settings etc. After exit nothing happened.

Now I get no video signal, and clearing the CMOS again dont necessarily get to BIOS again.. just nothing.

Id suspect the PSU if it weren't for the PC working before me pratting about with it

Any ideas on how to revive my PC greatfully recieved!

no video signal indicates a video card problem, ensure that it's plugged in correctly, and, if you can, test the card in another machine/ test this machine with a different card.

this does seem the most logical answer - though it's very odd that it should go from working to not working for no real reason.

ill have to wait til monday... but want to play on my new toy

hope it is as simple as that anyway
